This is one of my favourite woman writers. I've read almost all of her books. The main character is a witty girl-next-door. She is confused most of the time. But she is very helpful and went out all the way to help others including helping her wedding planner to book the car, the flowers, caterer etc. Long story short, she is practically planning for her own wedding, met with a handsome MCP who gave her the idea of making a duplicate engagement ring while still searching for the real one. And the wedding planner was actually her fiancé’s ex-girlfriend. This book is packed with drama and it is hysterical.

Oh, it didn't stop there after the tea making.... There is counter manning, book cataloging, making sure that the students are studying, etc., etc., etc.... I would not bore you further with those details. If time permits, I might share tips on how to keep the display-life longer. As for now, I am in the midst of planning the upcoming summer reading program.
Happy Birthday to us! There you go, singing precisely to self at 1.24am (local SG time). I was staying up late to study when I remembered that our team has started this weblog a year ago.
This May marks officially our first birthday for this weblog and also my first year dedicated to this professional web-logging I used to have a personal blog to rant about the days of my life but it didn't workout that well, all due to laziness and it doesn't resulted in anything beneficial for me. I asked myself, why not blog professionally since there are many in the industry are doing it (especially in the US). So how did this weblog come about? Actually it supposed to be a communication platform for the Interactive Team to share on 'what we have been up to!' and as a 'directory of stuff' e.g. website links to lessons - Inhospitable Places etc., advices on cataloguing for series and other collection, calender for year display boards, tips & tricks on Photoshop, highlights and announcement on disappearance etc. Our boss liked the idea so much that it became a must-have communication platform across the 3 libraries. Well, it is for a good cause for all to benefit. Anyway, a very Happy Birthday to our weblog! *peace* PS: Blogging can be quite addictive. It is day 3 of the Transition and the last class for the week. Not many photos were taken as the students were the shy lot. Nonetheless, I've managed to capture their journey of knowing the Senior Library.
One of them said that the Senior Library is so cool. And I replied that it is because we have the coolest librarians around. Hahaha! Then, I heard someone said that it is because we have the smartest students.... Now, did I forgotten to mention that this class is not only shy but they are cheeky too?! PS: I have remove all the photographs, due to school policy on uploading of photographs consisting TTS school children. The Transition lessons part 1 are in progress – QR codes, stations etc. Part 2 of the transition is about the summer reading programme and Jacqui wants a new theme.
I’ve set up a contest (just a small one to motivate all of us). I know that the ladies I am working with have excellent ideas. To encourage them further, there would be a prize for winning theme. Of course, they could collaborate and submit their ideas as a group (prize has to be shared, ya!). There would be steps to determine the winner: 1) Compile all the ideas & themes 2) Just like the recent Malaysian Election, we will have our very first voting (I will have to figure out how to do that online) 3) Top 3 themes with the highest votes would be evaluated by Jacqui 4) The winning entry would be picked by Jacqui So if you are reading this blog and are interested to try, submit your wonderful ideas using the link below. Pick a Theme for Summer Reading 2013 Submit as many entry as you could... I have not decided on the closing date of the contest yet! I will be on leave the whole of next week. Yahoo! Nah! Not really, I have 2 exam papers to write. Anyway, I am looking forward to your entries (and the end of my exams). *peace* Today is the second day for the Transition class. We have got 2 classes back to back. And we are 2 people down. Though we are busy for the whole day with the Year 11 having their GCSE study leaves, IB exams for Year 13 and the Year 6 running around, the Interactive Zone is hanging on and managing very well with the 2 'young girls' and their ever-supportive 'Battleaxe Galactic'. So here is a reward for the hard work in the morning, photos from the Transition classes.
Number of the day is 2. PS: I have remove all the photographs, due to school policy on uploading of photographs consisting TTS school children. Today is the first day for the Year 6 Transition. Excitement is in the air, QR codes to be hunted down and questions to be answered. To summaries all these, below are the photos.
