Chinese New Year display/decoration is always a challenge. For a non-Chinese person, I think this is the best that I could put together. Initially, I was planning to do the display on the board just like last year. But it was so hard to find a nice looking image of a horse (based on my standard), unlike my hand-crafted snake which I've done last year.
So this year, I cheated! Instead of featuring the zodiac, I decided to do a general window CNY display instead (which I could recycle for next year) And used all the existing CNY props and bought a new red cloth (which it took me many weeks to get myself to buy). And hey, it turned out to be quite pleasing to the eyes. Now, where are those lanterns that I need to get someone to help me hang?! |
